Sellick and Saxton represents a partnership between two highly creative and experienced craftsmen.

Neil Sellick

Neil Working Green OakFinding practical and creative solutions to problems has always been my forte. Growing up on farms in Sussex and Dorset provided an ideal setting for me to indulge these interests.

Having studied design and construction I was then a founder and director of a family agricultural construction company. I combined this with restoring old houses and keeping my carpentry skills honed, which led me to further my training into green oak framing.

Now with over 20 years of building and project management experience I focus on the restoration and construction of architecturally interesting projects.

Luke Saxton

Luke Saxton WorkingHaving had a creative flair from a young age mixed with desire to succeed in business, I spent time researching and setting up business opportunities for various high net worth individuals. This progressed in to consultancy work successfully training managers of well known high street retailers in the sales process.

The truth is that this never really scratched my creative itch and so I took the plunge and started to work with Neil (already a close friend) in 2007. In 2009 I retrained as a joiner and the rest as they say is history!

Our Commitment

“Sellick and Saxton” have a fully equipped workshop in rural Dorset where, if not on-site, much of their bespoke timber craft takes place. We consider it important to use and supply locally sourced timber as much as possible and have close links with the timber yards and mills in the area.

Our awareness of, and enthusiasm for, traditional craftsmanship juxtaposed with our readiness to adopt modern materials and methods ensures that our work is always of the highest quality. We take great pride in our work, creating objects and buildings for our clients that will last for centuries. We are versatile in our approach and can ensure that we work closely with our clients every step of the way to produce exactly what is wanted.
